1) Joint Tenancy allows two or more people to own property Equally with the “right of survivorship” meaning that the property ownership will pass on to the survivor without the requirement of a Will or the probate process. However, a Survivorship Application will need to be made to transfer the property legally into the name of the survivor.

2) On the other hand, when parties take title as Tenants in Common they do not have a right to survivorship and each person owns a half, a third or some other portion that belongs only to them. Tenants in common can make a Will of their share to of the property and the property will pass to the chosen beneficiary.

3) A third manner is to put the property under the name of your Corporation.If you own a Corporation, you can even buy property under the name of the Corporation.
